In a world where there are a million other bloggers out there blogging about farm life, I want to start something that brought you into my life as a wife, mother and organic dairy farmer. I want to share with you my struggles and triumphs of living on an organic dairy farm. I feel as if there is a divide between conventional and organic dairy farming, and I want to explain what we do on our organic dairy farm. Since I now know both sides of conventional and organic, I want to share how we live on a day to day basis. More and more people have become so disconnected to where their food comes from that there is now a fear of food and agricultural products. We need to come together as an industry and set the story straight and share our lives. I grew up on a conventional dairy farm and went to college in Wisconsin, and graduated with a degree in Animal Science. I then married an organic dairy farmer and moved to his farm in Washington State. The simple fact is that dairy farming is in my blood. Generations before me have been dairy farming and I want this lifestyle for my family to grow up in. This is my story.
